Transnet Train 815 out of Cape Town Station, South Africa is mysteriously brought down out of the mountains, off its tracks, crashing on an uncharted farm somewhere in the Drakensburg. The survivors quickly learn they must band together in order to have any hope of rescue, because the Farm is treacherous and holds many secrets. As they are about to learn, the survivors have secrets of their own . . .
From an ill tempered mutated cigaratte smoke cloud, to strange appearances of ancient hottentots. Jack and his band of merry survivors need to learn how to fend for themselves and survive. To add to the danger, the neighbouring farm has angry Zimbabwean War Vets with no farming know how, who are intent on stealing all the pregnant mothers to turn them into child slave making factories.
In the show's third season, Jack, Kate, and Sawyer have been captured by the mysterious War Vets. Forced to live in their Barn, they learn more of the Farmland's secrets and realize their enemies have an agenda all of their own. Meanwhile, Locke is brought back into communion with the Farm as it wraps him closer into its own insidious plot to make him into a dairy farmer.
