After getting himself inebriated in a local Sophia Town Shebeen, while trying to find his gifted brother, Lincoln Bufungwe, Michael SKhosana is now on the floor–along with his brother and six other petty criminials. Set to uncover the winning lotto ticket from January's draw, hidden by D.B. Chauke, the merry makers attempt to evade payment of their bill–being tailed by both Captain Brad Belgranger of the local football team and Metro Police Traffic Flow Control officer Appies Mahundle for their unpaid parking tickets. The story opens with Michael Skhosana, a till operator, attempting to rob a newspaper agent in order to get last night's lotto numbers. Michael manages to evade arrest where after he meets up with his brother Lincoln at the local shebeen. It is there that Coffee Filter Masunga tells the brothers of the legend of the D.B Chauke lotto ticket. They soon set off on an epic cross township journey with their band of hapless misfits to locate this ticket and claim its winnings.
